The NEBOSH International General Certificate provides an excellent  foundation in occupational safety and health, helping those who want to study and manage  the risk more effectively. The NEBOSH International Certificate is based on  international standards and is suitable for people in any industry sector,  anywhere in the world. It is ideal for:

-    ManagersManagers, supervisors and employees throughout the world take the NEBOSH International General Certificate because it gives them the skills and know-how to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities in any country and in any kind of organisation.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma. No previous health and safety knowledge is required.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate comprises of three units of study, each of which is assessed separately:

• Unit IG1: Management of International Health and Safety

2.How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
3.Managing risk – understanding people and processes
4.Health and safety monitoring and measuring 

• Unit IG2: Control of  Workplace Hazards

5.Physical and psychological health 
6. Musculoskeletal health 
7.Chemical and biological agents 
8.General workplace issues 
9.Work equipment
10.Fire
11.Electricity 

You must complete all units within 5 years to achieve the full NEBOSH International General Certificate qualification.

​Course Assessment and Certification

Candidates are assessed by an examination for  each unit IG1  and a practical health & safety assessment of a work  place situation IG2. 
The exam is open book now . Candidates must achieve  a minimum pass standard in all the examinations and assessment to be awarded the  NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health. 

Certification is issued by NEBOSH UK.

Professional Body  Memberships :
Holders of the NEBOSH International General Certificate are eligible for membership of the following professional bodies,  subject to meeting the necessary post-qualification experience requirements:
Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. – Tech IOSH ,  International  Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). – Associate  Member
